Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born December 13, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for the past 20 years. Her tales about romance and love at first sight are gaining her acclaim during the 21st Century. Swift's interest in music began in the early years of her life. From children's plays to singing in front of thousands of people, Swift made rapid progress. Swift was 11 years old when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball game. Following that, she began writing songs and got a guitar. She drew inspiration from the country music artists such as Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original music that was a reflection of her experience of being a tween and feeling alienated. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee when she was thirteen after they sold their Pennsylvania farm. It gave Swift to spend more time trying to find labels that would promote traditional music from Nashville.
